The ReductoClip Ceiling System is a slimline, highly effective ceiling soundproofing solution, engineered to enable you to achieve peace and quiet in your home.
This system ticks all the necessary boxes, adding high levels of mass and resilience to dampen sound energy from the structure.
Whether you want peace and quiet from noisy neighbours, or privacy in your own space, the ReductoClip Ceiling System is the perfect solution.
High level of sound reduction - giving you peace, quiet and privacy in your own home
Slimmest system of its kind - saving you space in your room
Straightforward DIY installation - saving you time and money, without the need of extra labour costs
Fast delivery lead times (3-5 working days) - no need to wait for a solution to your noise issue. We're here to make it happen swiftly and efficiently
Industry leading technical support - soundproof with confidence. Whatever the noise issue, whatever the question, we're here to help
The ReductoClip Timber Ceiling System has been carefully designed so that a competent DIYer can install the system themselves saving on installation costs.
For non DIYers, a local tradesperson such as a builder or joiner will have the necessary skill to install the system for you following our detailed installation guide and video.
Our team of highly trained and experienced soundproofing professionals are also on hand to offer technical support and answer any installation questions.
60mm of High Performing Sound Reduction Engineering
1. ReductoClips - decouple the mass layers from the timber joists and act like a shock absorbing suspension system to dampen high levels of sound energy and vibration
2. ReductoClip Furring Channels - extra wide to make fixing acoustic plasterboards quicker and easier
3. Acoustic Mineral Wool - dampens sound within the cavity to stop sound amplifying
4. Acoustic Plasterboard - (2 layers) to increase the mass of the ceiling. More mass and density than standard plasterboard but with the same finishing and decorating techniques
5. FlexiSound 5 - viscoelastic membrane to add further mass to the ceiling. A different type of mass to reduce different sound frequencies to the other layers. FlexiSound also helps to dampen sound energy and vibration
Real World Site Test
Tested on timber joist structure with one layer of OSB directly fixed as structural floor.

Absolutely! The ReductoClip direct to timber joist ceiling solution is a high performing solution for both airborne and impact noise.
The ReductoClip Ceiling System is also designed to exceed the UK Part E Building Regulations for the passage of sound. (43dB or higher for airborne noise and 64dB or lower for impact noise).
No soundproofing will offer 100% reduction. However, soundproofing a ceiling with the ReductoClip system will dramatically reduce the noise from noisy neighbours (e.g. heavy footsteps and loud airborne noise).
*dB results will vary depending on several factors.
Please see our dB blog on why dB results may vary
If possible, the recommendation would be to soundproof the floor above against impact noise (e.g. footsteps). Absorbing impact noise at source (before it enters the structure) can achieve a better result.
The recommendation would be to remove the existing plasterboard, so it doesn't create a void for any sound to become trapped and resonate inside (the drum effect).
If the ceiling is lathe and plaster, it is also recommended to remove this and in both instances - expose the cavities between the joists and add acoustic mineral wool within this space.
The ReductoClip Ceiling System offers the slimmest solution at only 60mm (from the bottom of the timber joist to the final layer of plasterboard), whilst delivering the highest level of soundproofing.
The ReductoClip System can be installed by a competent DIYer or general builder or tradesperson.
Please see our dedicated installation page for more details on different installation options.
Cutting holes into soundproofing is always going to create a weakness. Therefore, recessed lighting isn't advisable. Ideally slim LED surface mounted spotlights, or single pendant lighting fixed onto the ceiling is the preferred option over and above lighting inside of the ceiling.
