SoundScreed 18 has been designed as a highly effective floor soundproofing solution with the added benefit of tongue and groove on all sides allowing for a straightforward installation.
A competent DIYer can install the system themselves saving on installation costs. For non DIYers, a local tradesperson such as a builder or joiner will easily have the necessary skill to install the system for you following our detailed installation guide.

SoundScreed 18 is a multipurpose flooring product that can be utilised in a variety of different situations:
Direct to floor joists:
To minimise floor height build up whilst improving the airborne soundproofing capabilities of the floor
Secondary Floor Battens:
Used as a structural floor on acoustic cradles and isolated secondary floor battens. The use of secondary floor battens will enhance both airborne and impact sound performance
Floating over underfloor heating:
Used as a floating construction on top of thermal insulation (PIR) above underfloor heating systems with a far greater thermal conductivity than standard chipboard floors
Overlaid on an existing floor:
Used as an overlay board on an existing solid sub floor when floor height is not restricted. Impact performance can be improved by the addition of ProSound ImpactoMat 5
