ReductoClip™ System Comparison

How does the ReductoClip™ compare to other clip systems?

ReductoClip

The Soundproofing Store is always looking at new and innovative soundproofing products and solutions. The ReductoClip delivers the slimmest independent soundproofing wall / ceiling system on the market. Whilst still delivering exceptional soundproofing against noisy neighbours and delivering the perfect solution for professional music studios, recording studios, band practice rooms and home cinemas.

The benefits of the ReductoClip over other clip systems

ReductoClip system size

One of the main benefits of the ReductoClip is its slim design. As with all independent stud wall systems a loss of space is to be expected. It comes as no surprise that in building a room within a room, more space is lost than with  direct to wall soundproofing solutions.

With the ReductoClip independent stud wall system, the loss of space is only 120mm. The ReductoClip is the slimmest soundproofing clip system on the market, delivering an independent soundproofing wall system 13mm - 16.27mm thinner than all other clip systems.

How the ReductoClip outperforms other clip systems

ReductoClip dual rubber design
The ReductoClip's dual rubber design results in a far higher performance than other clips, due to being able to absorb different sound frequencies. Other clips with only one type of rubber are restricted to absorbing fewer sound frequencies.

The ReductoClip design saves time on installation

The uniquely designed wider ReductoClip furring bar also allows for a wider (50mm) furring bar. This in turn means there is a larger surface area to attach plasterboard to. The indents on the furring bars also have a central, middle groove, which makes finding the midpoint on the furring bars far easier to work with when butting up plasterboard, than when working with the standard thinner furring bars used in other systems.

How the ReductoClip™ Independent Wall System works

This innovative soundproofing solution is designed to completely isolate walls. Reducing the transference of sound vibration energy, whilst also blocking airborne noise with high mass materials.

The highest performing wall sound insulation system for all noise issues, the ReductoClip Independent Wall Solution is used to soundproof against all unwanted noise issues and is the ideal solution for excessive noise and is also used in music studios.

By attaching the ReductoClip and furring bars to an independent stud frame, then adding different layers of high mass materials, this will achieve a sound reduction of 65dB for airborne noise. The slimmest independent clip system on the market, with a total build up of only 120mm from the original wall. The ReductoClip Independent wall solution also exceeds Part E Building Regulations

An alternative to the ReductoClip Independent System is the ReductoClip Direct to Wall solution. The system build up is the same as the Independent System, but without the independent stud frame. This reduces the build up of the system to an incredibly slim 60mm build up from the original wall. The direct to wall solution isn't as high performing as the Independent System, but offers an excellent compromise on space loss, whilst still achieving an excellent performance. A hugely popular wall sound insulation solution within homes when soundproofing against the unwanted noise from noisy neighbours and where space loss from the original wall needs to be minimal. The ReductoClip Direct to wall solution achieves a sound reduction of 55dB on a solid party wall, which is also a pass for Part E Building Regulations.

As with the reductoClip wall systems, the ReductoClip ceiling solution is also designed to completely isolate ceilings. Reducing the transference of sound vibration energy, whilst also blocking airborne noise.

By attaching the ReductoClip and furring bars to the timber joists of the ceiling, then adding different layers of high mass materials, this will achieve a sound reduction of 54dB for airborne noise and 55dB reduction for impact noise, whilst also exceeding Part E Building Regulations .

ReductoClip Independent Wall System on a brick wall

Soundproofing a brick wall can be extremely effective if key principles are followed. Decoupling soundproofing layers from the brick wall and enhancing its ability to absorb and dampen sound energy. Adding resilience to the brick wall with ReductoClips allows the wall to flex and absorb vibrations, much like a car’s suspension system smooths out road bumps. To block airborne noise, heavy, dense materials like FlexiSound and Acoustic Plasterboard are added. For optimal soundproofing of a solid brick party wall, the ReductoClip Independent Wall System offers a outstanding solution, combining key soundproofing elements for maximum noise reduction.

Soundproofing isolation clips are highly effective in reducing noise transmission between walls and ceilings. By decoupling the surfaces and creating a break in the sound path, these clips significantly minimise the amount of noise that can travel through structures. Helping to soundproof against noisy neighbours and soundproof music studios and home cinemas.
